June 15, 2008 - The Canadian Wine Awards online registration is now open. All of the new, easier and more intuitive functions of Judges Choice software are now available for the Canadian Wine Awards Competition.

February 25, 2008 – The Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival turns 30 this week and if you define generations in the traditional manner, as in, the average time between the birth of parents and their offspring, the annual festival of the grape is moving into the next generation. I would tag it Generation Six on the theory most wine drinkers reshape their palates every five years. Vancouver welcomes 176 wineries from around the world, each with a visiting principal to pour the wine and speak to it. That means most of the city will be busy swirling, sniffing and spitting in search of that elusive 100 point wine. Have fun and keep safe. ag
